About Us

Fortius Security, LLC was founded by owner Rob Hood in 2004 as Crown Security Systems, LLC to fill a gap in the security marketplace for local core commercial electronic security. His vision was to provide full service from consulting and design/build to installation and system support. 

Rob Hood is responsible for sales, systems design and project management for various clients including ACLU, USRA, Humanim and Harbor Magic Hotels. Hood has also worked with some of the largest security providers over the course of his 27-year career.

Together, these individuals have over 100 years of combined experience in fire systems, intrusion systems, access control, CCTV, critical systems monitoring, sound systems, low voltage cabling and integration.

We offer non-proprietary products from high quality, well-known manufacturers such as Honeywell, Mircom, FireLite, Aiphone, Silent Knight, System Sensor and IEI. These products will stand the test of time and not tie you to a particular security company.
